God Bless America!

America-birthday-fourth-of-July-celebrate-blessing

It is Independence Day in America. We have so much to be thankful for. Our beautiful red, white, and blue flag is a symbol of freedom and liberty. The red reminds us of the courage and valor of those who came before us and those who still serve. White is pure and independent. We are free to hold separate thoughts and beliefs. The blue helps us remember justice and to remain vigilant and watchful.

Celebrating Our Freedom

God has truly blessed our country. It is easy to take for granted all that we have. We must stay vigilant and not be blinded by negative situations that may surround us. No matter what, we must never forget all that has occurred to secure our freedom. Let us never stop rejoicing and celebrating the freedom we have. May we never become complacent in celebrating our freedom and our country.

Flying Old Glory

When we proudly raise our country’s banner, let us do so with respect and dignity. Our flag should be flown higher than any other displayed flags. It should never touch the ground or anything beneath it. We should bring the American Flag inside during bad weather unless it is an all-weather flag. The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property. You can see the complete flag code on the American Legion Website.

Happy Independence Day

I hope each and every one of you enjoys a wonderful Independence Day. Celebrate our freedom. Revel in the beauty of this land and its people. Hoist the American Flag tall. God Bless you and God Bless America!
